25 Acre Woods Digest (2021-06-26): A Quick Visit

Nonstop action largely kept us from the 25 Acres. But your humble correspondent did take the time to get up there to chop wood for an hour. Now that’s a couple of days well spent.

The Grand Matriarch started her 10th decade with a huge bash. Barbara and Steve came. Five out of the four Potomac Clearys came. To balance it out, three of the four Mainiac Clearys made it.

After that weekend, maybe more deserve the Mainiac title.

A rare photo that captures Our Sponsor and Your Humble Correspondent together in the same shot.

Welcome, Nora, Katie, and Brian as our newest subscribers! Was it you who tipped the scales?

Because of the surging demand for more 25 Acres News, yes, we are giving up the place in Providence and becoming, well, committed Mainiacs.

To celebrate, the Limited Edition 25 Acres Farm Boss Chainsaw is on sale while supplies last.

On Weds morning, the Billy Goat preps to pull the first trailer of boxes up to Maine.

Leroy, our faithful guard dinosaur, takes the high ground to keep a close eye.

Leroy has been with us for a couple of decades now, really just the bat of an eye in dino-time.

Between schlepping boxes and covering miles, your Humble Correspondent didn’t have much time up at the 25 Acres.

But there was enough to wander out on FWD Fear Trail.

As you Game of Thrones fans would know, WINTER IS COMING. So, of course, I took the time to chop some wood too.

Faithful readers will remember that Our Sponsor has made it her business to feed the birds up at the lodge.

25 Acres has uncovered disturbing news: there are no real birds anymore; they are government drones tracking our every movement.

Will this security risk dissuade Our Sponsor? As always, 25 Acres will keep you informed of breaking developments.

That’s it for this week.

Unless you are a new subscriber who wanted to get your mom something extra special for her 60th birthday.

In which case, our artisanally-curated online shoppe is here to help.
