After a week of roaming the East Coast, we’ve returned to home and hearth.

Of course, the big news was the visit to the Grand Matriarch. Here, Kevin and Francie hosted a grand feast.

If you look v-e-r-y carefully, you can see that Kevin is quaffing from a bottle of riesling. But not just any riesling. No, this is “House of My Wife, Michelle, the Saint” Riesling. AKA “Chateau St. Michelle”. And yet, we had naught to do with it.

Your humble reporter prefaced the trip down south was with a couple of days in Providence. Of course, we were steadfast in checking in on the old places to ensure they are maintaining standards.

Given travel and rain, not a lot of progress on putting in the garden bed last week. We’d like to get it in before winter, so it’s ready in the spring. We’d even like to put in garlic in January per schedule.
